Searching for the Sun
My friend Dennis and I headed south today in search of elusive blue skies. After almost 400 miles and 2 states, we crossed over Siskiyou Pass in the fog. As we topped the pass, the fog was very bright, like it was back-lit by very strong lights. As soon as we crossed the California border, we had SUN and BLUE skies. Still a little cool, but that I can deal with in exchange for the SUNSHINE!

We are in Redding tonight, headed to Reno, NV by way of Susanville, CA tomorrow, and then on to Beatty, NV Friday. Saturday I plan on riding around in Death Vally, Sunday back to Reno and then back home on Monday. I feel a little guilty taking a trip while unemployed, but I had this planned a long time ago, and frankly I needed it!
